Here is an example of how pricing for a monthly accounting project might look for a new hypotehtical client. Mike owns Mountainland Electrical, a residential contractor that generates most of its $1.5 million revenue from custom home constuction, along with some service/upgrade income. Mountainland has a crew of several guys and Mike's wife does the admin and bookkeeping.
Mike feels he should have far stronger cash flow based on how much revenue he pulls in each month. He's got several active jobs at any given time and it's hard to say which jobs make him money and which jobs cost him money until it's too late. His wife works hard and does her best to be thorough, but the reality is that she's not a trained accountant. Besides, Mike will end up in the doghouse if he gives her any shit about the books. He also bets Mountainland could do more marketing or recruiting if her time and energy were directed toward that instead of tracking the money.
Mike needs monthly accounting with reporting by job. Numbers wihtout context mean nothing, so he also sees how each job is trending based on industry benchmarks and his own history. He's a Master Electrician rather than an Accountant, so he also enjoys getting a video review with his financials to explain everything in detail. He gets this information by the 15th of each month so he can still make decisions to improve each job's profits. He also has an open line to call, email, or text us about questions throughout the month and we get back to him within a business day. Mike might pay around $1,250 monthly for this type of scope and delivery with Mountainland's size. Onboarding and implementation price depends on the quality of the books, and would likely equal around 2-3 month's worth of the monthly fee up front.
If Mike wanted a more white-glove delivery with numbers by the 7th, a live video call to discuss coaching, goals, and specific cash flow management in detail, there's an option for that at a higher service tier. If he gets the financials without needing a video review and isn't in a rush to get them until the 25th, he could opt for a more basic scope instead. Or, if Mountainland was a different size, the price would change to reflect the number of jobs and transactions. We'll meet with Mike each year at renewal time to make sure he gets the scope and price he needs to meet all of his goals.
We also work with smaller companies as long as they're ambititious and good to work with. Our monthly pricing starts at around $450 for smaller operations.

Continuing the example of Mike and Mountainland Electrical from above, suppose Mountainland is an S corporation and Mike is the sole shareholder. The business is Mike's primary financial activity, along with some retirement and brokerage accounts. No side hustles, real estate, or crypto day trading to address.
Mike wants a detailed year-end tax plan and strategy to optimize his tax situation so that he pays less to Uncle Sam and the state and keeps more for himself and his company. He also wants a mid-year estimate to make sure he's paying in the right amount as he goes along--not too much that he gives the government a free loan, but not too little that results in underpayment penalties either. Finally, Mike doesn't mind extending his tax returns for a fall filing because he already paid in what he owes and it saves him on our fees.
Mike might pay around $230 per month combined for this scope of year-round tax service for his business and personal taxes. The scope could become more premium with built-in transript, audit, and payment monitoring and support, tax returns filed by April 15th, or quarterly tax check-ins rather than twice per year. On the other hand, if he didn't care about the tax strategy or mid-year check-ins and cared only for year-end compliance, a more basic scope option is available for him too.
No pressure. No sales pitch. Just a conversation about where your business is and where you want it to go.
